Crosswater commits to long term CAD programme with Virtual Worlds

The Crosswater Group has secured a comprehensive and on-going CAD presence, thanks to an exclusive deal with Virtual Worlds from Logicom. The complete product ranges of Crosswater, Bauhaus and Simpsons will be featured exclusively on the Virtual Worlds Professional, 3D interactive CAD design software. There will be a significant launch across all brands in September.

Marten Baker, Commercial Manager at Bauhaus, explains the decision: “We chose Virtual Worlds because it is the leading bathroom CAD product in the market, with wide ranging user coverage.” Having proved increased sales resulted from an initial product presence on the Virtual Worlds unique CAD system, the Crosswater Group made the strategic decision to feature all of its existing and future new ranges. The Group has agreed a continuous development programme with Logicom.

Baker highlights the growth potential of the deal: “We know that some retailers have already increased their purchases in excess of 20%, particularly in Bauhaus furniture, our Crosswater shower fittings and Simpson enclosure product lines, which we know would not have been the case without Virtual Worlds”.

Baker also stresses Virtual Worlds’ compatibility with AutoCAD, key for Crosswater’s new Contracts Division, its popular sales ordering and quoting platforms, plus the simplicity of working with Logicom’s development team as other important factors behind its decision.

Existing users of the Virtual Worlds Professional CAD system from Logicom have automatic and free of charge access to the newly launched Crosswater Group 3D product catalogues.
